I met this lovely couple at Bridal Spectacular in August. After going around a few times in search of someone to do there wedding video. They realized Lighten Films was best for them. Although they told me they were on a budget, and my collections start off almost double of the amount they wanted to spend. We got them in our home studio and showed them our feature films and they were sold. It made me feel good that a couple was willing to double their budget to get Lighten Films quality. And I always do my best to exceed my clients expectations. It was a fun wedding at the wonderful Bear’s Best, and once again another fun-loving couple makes my job easy. Thanks Tabitha & Homan!!!
When I spoke to Madonna on the phone she said she wanted her video to have the vintage look so I am still coming up with a few ideas Madonna and Gary are a super cute couple from Rhode Island. Like most of my clients, they traveled from a long distance to Las Vegas to get married, and chose Lighten Films to capture their special day. This wedding was held at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel, I got to work with LorenzFoto again, which is always a pleasure. Madonna’s bubbly personality is what makes the video even more special. A recap of my favorite, most entertaining wedding in 2009, edging out the masquerade theme wedding I filmed on 9-9-09. Alan & Tina are great, and their wedding reception held at Bears Best was a treat. There were Tahitian dancers, chief, hula dancers, and a fire dancer. Alan & Tina are two of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met.

This wedding was awesome!!! Heidi and Marcus are two down to earth people surrounded with loving friends and families. They got married at the Guardian Cathedral Church, and had an elegant reception at the Four Seasons. Their planner, LaChanda, put together a show-stopper of a reception with beautiful lighting, luxurious lounge furniture, and exquisite decor by Barker Decor Service. D.J. Mo’ Dave and D.J Spinderella of Salt n’ Pepa kept the party grooving on the dance floor. They had a photo booth, Elvis, gourmet food stations, a burger station, a donut station, and yes, even a hangover station . Dennis Silknitter was great; he made sure their guests had everything they needed as well as the vendors. I finally got to work with AltF Photography, and that was an enjoyable experience as well. Most of their guests came from Houston and New Orleans, and they were excited about the Saints going to the Super Bowl, so they celebrated New Orleans style – Crunk!!!

2009 Las Vegas wedding cinematographer of the year, Lighten Films, is starting 2010 off with a bang!!! There is not a better couple to start off the year with than Camille & Matthew, who came out from Washington D.C. to have their wedding with all of their friends and family who live here in Las Vegas. When I think of the Toutons, these words come into my mind: kind, sincere, and intelligent. They married at the Guardian Angel Cathedral Church, and celebrated at the beautiful Springs Preserve. True proffessionals (Michelle, Milli, and Jesus) were there to make sure everything went perfectly. Then Camille delivered the best speech I have ever heard from a bride – it was awesome! Awesome couple + awesome venue = awesome wedding.
January 28, 2010 - 8:35 pmMatthew Touton - I happened to find Terrence by coincidence one day while browsing, of all places, Wedding Wire reviews. I narrowed the selection down to Memory Lane and Lighten Films based on the overall reviews that were online. From there I sent information requests to both companies via their online websites. Terrence impressed me from the very start, responding within hours of submitting the request versus almost a week for the other. As I viewed the online samples from both companies, I just kept coming back to Terrence's work. He has a completely different approach to wedding videos than most "cookie-cutter" enterprises that are out there. Although Terrence is relatively new to the wedding video industry, don’t let that fool you. In my mind there was no comparison, his work just has that something extra about it.
I live full time in Washington DC while our wedding was in Las Vegas, NV. Living in DC tends to make you extra critical and overly harsh on everything and everyone you meet. Even after interacting with Terrence through this “skewed” vision, I was still very impressed. First of all, he does exactly what he tells you that he is going to do and delivers on schedule. Second, even more important, he is completely honest even if the answer is not what you want to hear. Within the first e-mail correspondence with Terrence I felt completely at ease with him and I knew that I had found my videographer.
The package that my wife and I selected included an engagement interview session that will be put on the final DVD product. Living in DC limited the times that we could meet with Terrence; and the only time that would work ended up being the day after Christmas. While most people would want to stay at home with their two little children the day after Christmas, Terrence and Suzi suggested locations to meet and ended up spending about two hours with us to get the right shot. I mean what can I say, they are constantly working to make sure you are pleased with your end result.
The day of the wedding, I barely even noticed Terrence and Suzi filming away. While some of the shots seem unnatural, especially when you are holding a kiss for a much longer time than usual, rest assured they come out on camera as completely natural.
Now here is the really exciting part, two weeks after the wedding Terrence posts a “teaser trailer” on his blog from your wedding. This is a wonderful treat and I think my wife and I have watched it maybe 20 times within the first 24 hours of seeing it. After viewing the teaser I can honestly say that I was blown away. My expectations were exceeded and this is hard to do. Terrence and his wife, Suzi, are an absolute pleasure to work with. If you are looking for a unique look for your wedding video, Terrence is the way to go.
